AbstractThis study was intended to discover the meaning of convergence education in the proceess of User Participation Design among the Green Smart School promoted by the Korean version of the New Deal policy from 2020. To this end, interviews were conducted with 7 people who had experience in Green Smart School or School Space Innovation Project. The interview contents were analyzed and interpreted at philosophical perspective, social perspective, process perspective, spatial perspective, and the perspective of convergence education. The results of this study suggest that Green Smart School imply the meaning of convergence education, and need to pay attention to the process of User Participation Design. When promoting Green Smart School in the future, measures to reveal the meaning of convergence education in User Participation Design process are as follows. First, it should be remembered that Green Smart School is not the simple facility improvement project, but the project that realizes the vision and purpose of the school through key elements. Second, related education and training are conduted to transform members’ perceptions into the convergence education paradigm. Third, policies should be promoted to compensate for the difficulties that exist in Green Smart School rather than solve them by discarding the entire project. Fourth, the concultation process for related education, training, and communication that strengthens members’ sense of community should be meaningfully promoted. |
