Abstract

In order to settle the convergence education policy in the education field, it is necessary to accumulate research on convergence education. For this reason, this study aimed to examine how convergence education research had been conducted from 2015 to 2019. A total of 119 Master’s theses on convergence education was analyzed in terms of year of publication, research subject, research content, research type, researcher's department and subject of convergence education program. Regarding year of publication, 25 articles were published in average per year expect for 2018. In terms of participants, primary school students were the most heavily researched population, accounting for 33%. The contents of research were focused on development and application. In terms of type of research, quantitative studies were actively conducted in the field of convergence education. Examining the core subjects of research on the development and application of convergence education programs showed that 27 articles (31%) were published in the field of art. Researchers in education were most interested in the convergence education.
