AbstractThis study began with raising the question that simulated self-esteem affects children's self-esteem. The researchers conducted the study on the assumption that the mother and child's self-esteem is correlated with each other. The research project to find out the results of this research is, first, the correlation between the child's perceived mock parenting attitude and mock self-respect. Second, it is the correlation between the child's perceived mock parenting attitude and the child's self-esteem. The participants in this study are 26 mothers and 26 children of 4-6th grade elementary students in A city A. The 52 participants are 26 professional counselors and children working as school counselors at A city. The questionnaire was conducted from April 20, 2020 to May 2, 2020 with the consent of the mother and child. The study found that the correlation between child-aware mock parenting behavior and mock self-esteem was 12% higher for girls than boys in positive responses, 7% higher for negative responses, and 19% lower for neutral responses. In addition, the results of the correlation between child-aware simulated parenting attitude and child self-respect showed that female students were 18.7% higher than male students in positive response, 2.7% higher in negative response, and 21.4% lower in neutral responses. In conclusion, the level of mock self-esteem positively and negatively affects the child's self-esteem. In addition, the child's simulated parenting attitude, which is also known to have an effect on the child's self-esteem. Therefore, the study of self-esteem correlation between mother and child is significant. |
