Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop career education guidance materials connecting ‘Career and Occupations’ and ‘Probability and Statistics’, which high school teachers can use in the 2015 revised curriculum general selective course of Probability and Statistics class. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the three types among the nine authorized high school Mathematics ‘Probability and Statistics’ textbooks were analyzed on the basis of the detailed high school ‘Career and Occupations’ subject goal presented in the 2015 revised curriculum, and the learning details of the two subjects were selected through the mapping of the subject and career education goals. Furthermore, the achievement standard was reorganized by connecting the achievement standard of the high school ‘Probability and Statistics’ with that of ‘Career and Occupation’ with the suitable class activity devised, and the subject-related career education teaching and learning materials utilized in the high school ‘Probability and Statistics’ class were developed. Lastly, the developed teaching and learning materials were verified by the expert and were finalized as the final teaching and learning materials.
