AbstractIn this study, issues related to the implementation of course-centered assessment in elementary science subjects were analyzed, and science programs were developed for course-centered assessment. To this end, we analyzed the materials created by teachers who participated in the science course-centered assessment program for teacher in 2018, and conducted an interview with elementary school teachers in August 2019 to discuss ways to improve science course-oriented assessment. As a result of the study, elementary school teachers wanted the appropriate number of students per class for evaluation, the establishment of an efficient system in conjunction with NEIS, and adjustment of the timing of personnel reshuffle, etc. The science and course-centered assessment developed by elementary school teachers was an evaluation tool focusing on scientific inquiry ability and scientific communication ability, centering on inquiry activities. In addition, they wanted a plan to improve assessment professionality and gradually expand evaluation to increase the fairness and reliability of each teacher's course-centered assessment. |
