With the advent of 4th industrial revolution era, new education systems are being adopted to build future core competencies of students. To reflect these changes of era and system aspects, this study started from a question “how should the geography class change?” In the free-semester system of middle schools, various students-oriented activities can be performed with enough time on hand without any burden of tests. Furthermore, software education courses are adopted with a goal of developing students’ smart device utilization ability and information utilization ability. The goals of this study through this research motivation are described as follows. First, a new geography class method is sought to reflect the changing education environment and new education system. Second, the effectiveness of learner-driven geography class application production activities is verified. Third, the results are used as basic data for investigating whether a geography teacher or app is effective for learning. The second kind of student evaluation is evaluation within a group, and the third is preference survey.
