Abstract

The purpose of this research is to reduce the number of students who abandon mathematics and to find an easy way to approach them with an interest in mathematics. This study was conducted for the second grade students of D middle school in Dodam - dong, Sejong Special Self - Governing Province. The purpose of this study is to develop a mathematical teaching plan that incorporates modified and supplemented STEAM programs and examine its effects on the interest and interest in the mathematics curriculum. As a result of the research, it was concluded that presenting problems in life that students experience when developing problems about concepts can attract more attention of students. Also, it was found that the mathematics classes using STEAM had a positive effect on the motivation for learning about mathematics for middle school students.
