Abstract

This study analyzed the educational effect of project-based SW convergence education program, linked to the objectives of middle school moral curriculum, on students’ class satisfaction and convrgent poblem-solving skills. By analyzing previous studies, moral knowledge and theory were reorganized into activities-oriented lessons, utilizing various software tools as part of an interdisciplinary approach that combines moral education with Korean language, information technology, social studies, and art subjects. The analysis revealed that in the multiple-choice survey assessing class satisfaction in the experimental group, significant changes were observed in five items, while no change were detected in the control group. In the subjective questionnaire survey for the experimental group, a significant improvement in class satisfaction was also confirmed. Consequently, a positive impact on the convergent problem-solving skills and overall class satisfaction of students in the experimental group, where the project-based SW convergence education program was implemented, was demonstrated. Through this study, the project-type SW convergence education program aims to contribute to moral education and classroom practices by employing teaching and learning methods that enhance students' convergent problem-solving skills and satisfaction with moral education.
