The Effect of Project-type Convergence Education Program Using a Metaverse Platform on the Career Maturity of Learners

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of a project-type convergence education program using the metaverse platform on learners' career maturity. A total of 33 first and second graders of high school interested in art and science participated in 22 sessions for 2 hours once a week using club hours. The entire program consisted of time to express oneself in the first stage (1st to 18th sessions), and the second stage (19th to 22nd sessions) consisted of meeting with field experts and external activities participating in community events. The main activities are expressed in the virtual world under the theme of one's future using the metaverse. As a result of analyzing statistics and learner response tests to verify students' career maturity through this research process, it was found that classes using the metaverse platform greatly helped students' career planning.
